Lakewood BlueClaws Production
As the Director of Production for a minor league baseball team, I oversaw all aspects of the team's game-day experience and technical video board elements. My role was to create an engaging and entertaining atmosphere for the fans, as well as directing a full baseball production for all home games.
One of my primary responsibilities was managing the production team. I worked closely with a group of talented individuals who handled various aspects of game operations, including audiovisual production, music, promotions, and in-game entertainment. Together, we collaborated to develop a cohesive and exciting experience that aligned with the team's brand and enhanced fan engagement.
In preparation for each game, I planned and coordinated all production elements. This involved developing game scripts and coordinating with the team's announcers and on-field emcees. I also worked closely with the marketing and sponsorship departments to incorporate sponsor activations and graphic designs into the game-day experience.
During the games, I was constantly monitoring the production elements to ensure they ran smoothly. I oversaw the operation of video boards, sound systems, and other equipment, ensuring that they were functioning properly. I also coordinated live camera shots and replays, adding an extra layer of excitement for the fans in attendance.
Beyond the game-day experience, I oversaw the production of promotional videos, commercials, and digital content for the team. I became the lead graphic designer, videographer and editor for the team, creating compelling visuals that promoted the team and engaged fans through various channels, including social media and the team's website.
Being the Director of Production for a minor league baseball team was a thrilling and rewarding experience. I take pride in knowing that I played a crucial role in bringing joy and excitement to the fans who supported our team day in and day out.
